They sent me anyway. My father worked two jobs, my mother raised the three of us full‑time, and I studied like it was the only thing I could contribute.

The premise
I was never the smartest person in the room, and I’m still not. What helped me was that I never got tired of the work. Sometimes it gets tough, slow, and not very exciting, but loving what you do is the only thing that gets you through those times. You don’t need to be extraordinary to achieve extraordinary things. You just have to keep going.
And I promise you, there’s nothing like the day something you built finally works.
